About Us

Friends of Colwick Woods volunteer group was formed by local residents in April 2004. We work closely with Nottingham City Council. The aim of the group is to protect, enhance and promote Colwick Woods as an important local resource for the benefit of the community and its natural habitat.

Another of the Sherwood Forest Park lectures is entitled:-

Ancient Trees and their place in our cultural history.

This is on Saturday 18th July 1pm-4pm (approx) and Sunday 19th July 11am-2pm (approx).

This is a rare opportunity to join Ted Green, one of the country’s leading Ancient Tree Specialists as he brings the history and culture of Sherwood’s ancient trees to life in one of the last remaining wood pastures and hunting forests in Europe.

Places are limited so pre-booking is essential on 01623 823202

£5 per person includes tea and coffee on arrival.
